Semi-Ds and bungalows in Section 7, Section 13, Kota Kemuning and Bukit Jelutong often have four or more units, so whole-house visits with our multi-unit discount are the norm here. Setia Alam mixes homes from the 2004 township launch with newer phases, so we see first services and replacements side by side. The same 24-hour response guarantee covers every section. Start Here The local problem we see most ### First-generation Setia Alam units nearing retirement Bedrooms take longer to cool each year, one unit trips the breaker, and the TNB bill keeps creeping up even after a service. **Why it happens here:** Setia Alam launched in 2004, so many homes still run the units fitted when owners first moved in, now close to 20 years old. In older sections dating from the 1970s and 80s, many units are older still. **How we fix it:** We check each unit and, where repair no longer makes sense, handle aircon installation of a right-sized inverter replacement. ### Blowing Warm Air Usually a choked coil, low gas from a leak, or a failed capacitor. We test pressure and amp draw so you only pay for the real fix. Why your aircon is not cold → [/guide/why-is-my-aircon-not-cold/ →](/guide/why-is-my-aircon-not-cold/) ### Water Leaking Inside Slimy "aircon jelly" blocks the drain pan and pipe until water runs down your wall. A flush or chemical wash clears it. Fix a leaking aircon → [/guide/aircon-leaking-water-inside/ →](/guide/aircon-leaking-water-inside/) ### Musty or Mouldy Smell Mould grows on the damp coil and blower wheel. Air freshener hides it. A chemical wash removes it. We would rather show one honest review than invent ten. > "I searched aircond service kuala lumpur and found Aircond Expert. Chose them because the pricing was clear upfront. The team arrived, checked gas pressure, cleaned the indoor unit, and explained what they were doing without talking down. Not the cheapest, but the work felt proper." A job in Kota Kemuning and another in Setia Alam can be 30 minutes apart, so we plan routes carefully. Our technicians use the **Federal Highway**, **KESAS** and the **Guthrie Corridor Expressway** to move between sections, and we schedule jobs near **i-City** and Section 7 around the evening traffic. You still get our 24-hour response guarantee, wherever you are in the MBSA area. For larger homes, we'll usually book a longer time slot so one team can do every unit in one go instead of coming back twice. Weekend and public-holiday slots are available, which helps families who can only be home on Saturdays. ### Landmarks and routes we use - i-City - Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque - AEON Mall Shah Alam - Setia City Mall Covered via the Federal Highway, KESAS, the Guthrie Corridor Expressway and the NKVE, with routes planned section by section. ![Outdoor aircon units on condo ledges and terrace house walls](/images/content/outdoor-aircon-units-mounted-on-malaysian-condo-le.webp) ## Larger Homes, More Units Most of our Shah Alam work falls into two groups. - **Established semi-Ds and bungalows** in Section 7, Section 13, Bukit Jelutong and Kota Kemuning. Four to six units per house is common, often a mix of wall-mounted splits and one or two ceiling cassettes in the living area. We plan the order of work so the rooms you need most are cooling again first. - **Newer homes in Setia Alam.** First-time owners usually need their first service after a year of use, or extra units installed for rooms that were left without one. Installation [/aircon-installation/ →](/aircon-installation/) starts at RM280 for a 1.0 HP unit within 10 feet of piping. Bigger homes also mean longer piping runs and higher outdoor-unit positions. We check these on the day and quote anything extra before we start, so there are no surprises on the invoice. Housing here spreads over 55.2 km² and 56 sections, which is why we book by section and set aside long slots instead of squeezing jobs in. Yes. Setia Alam is part of our regular coverage here, along with Section 7, Section 13, Kota Kemuning and Bukit Jelutong (postcodes 40000, 40150, 40170 and 40460). With 56 sections to cover, how do you keep to the 24-hour response? We group bookings by section and plan routes on the Federal Highway, KESAS and the Guthrie Corridor Expressway. Housing in Shah Alam spreads over 55.2 km², so tell us your section when you book and we will give you a realistic window. Is there a discount for servicing all the units in my semi-D? Yes. Four or more units at one address get the multi-unit discount, and most semi-Ds and bungalows in Bukit Jelutong and Kota Kemuning book the whole house in one visit. My Setia Alam units are nearly 20 years old. Service or replace? If a unit still cools well, a chemical wash from RM160 is usually enough. If it trips the breaker, keeps losing gas or the compressor is failing, replacement is often cheaper within a few years. We quote both. What does a replacement install cost? Our install package begins at RM280 for a 1.0 HP unit and covers parts plus up to 10 feet of piping. We can supply the unit too, for example a Mitsubishi MSY-JR13VF 1.5 HP at RM1,525. Do you chemical wash ceiling cassettes in big living rooms? Yes. Ceiling cassette washes cost RM270 to RM650 depending on horsepower, and we bring the ladders and catchment gear that high ceilings need. ### Still have a question?
