Older sections like SS2 and Section 17 still run plenty of non-inverter units that are 10 or 15 years old, so many calls here are honest repair-or-replace conversations. Newer condos in Ara Damansara and Kelana Jaya bring a different job: ledge access and management registration. We handle both, at the same flat rates we publish for the whole Klang Valley. Here's What Usually Causes Them The local problem we see most ### Aircons that will not start after a PJ thunderstorm The unit was fine yesterday. After an evening storm it will not power on, or the outdoor fan spins but the room never cools. **Why it happens here:** PJ gets more than 3,300 mm of rain a year and sits in one of the most lightning-prone areas in the world, so power surges are common. Sections dating back to the 1950s often run ageing units with worn capacitors and control boards. **How we fix it:** An aircon repair visit tests the capacitor, PCB and compressor amp draw, then tells you plainly whether the part is worth replacing. ### Blowing Warm Air Usually a choked coil, low gas from a leak, or a failed capacitor. We test pressure and amp draw so you only pay for the real fix. A flush or chemical wash clears it. Fix a leaking aircon → [/guide/aircon-leaking-water-inside/ →](/guide/aircon-leaking-water-inside/) ### Musty or Mouldy Smell Mould grows on the damp coil and blower wheel. Air freshener hides it. A chemical wash removes it. The team arrived, checked gas pressure, cleaned the indoor unit, and explained what they were doing without talking down. Not the cheapest, but the work felt proper." Most PJ jobs are reached via the **Federal Highway** or the **LDP**, and we plan routes around the usual jams near **Jalan Templer**, the Kelana Jaya interchange and the SS2 morning rush. We guarantee a response within 24 hours, and in practice many PJ bookings made in the morning are seen the same day. Because we work 24/7, you can also book an evening or weekend slot if you can't take time off work. For condos near the **Kelana Jaya LRT** line or in Ara Damansara, tell us the block and unit number when you book so we can register with management before we arrive. If you're in **Bandar Utama** or **Damansara Utama**, we often group nearby jobs on the same day, which helps us keep to the time we give you. ### Landmarks and routes we use - 1 Utama Shopping Centre - Paradigm Mall - Amcorp Mall - Kelana Jaya LRT station Reached from our KL base via the Federal Highway, the LDP and the Sprint Highway, with the Kelana Jaya LRT line running through the city. ![Outdoor aircon units on condo ledges and terrace house walls](/images/content/outdoor-aircon-units-mounted-on-malaysian-condo-le.webp) ## PJ Homes We Know Well PJ has a real mix of building types, and each brings its own aircon habits. - **Older terraces and semi-Ds in SS2, Section 17 and Damansara Utama.** Many still run non-inverter wall units installed decades ago. When one of these stops cooling, we check the capacitor, compressor amp draw and refrigerant pressure first, then tell you plainly whether a repair [/aircon-repair/ →](/aircon-repair/) (labour RM80 to RM200 plus parts) still makes sense. - **Condos in Kelana Jaya and Ara Damansara.** Outdoor units often sit on tight aircon ledges. We bring the right brackets, wash bags and drop sheets, and we follow each building's contractor rules set by management. - **Bandar Utama family homes.** Usually 3 to 5 units per house. A whole-house visit with the multi-unit discount is the cheapest way to keep them all clean. Whatever the property, all PJ jobs fall under Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ) rules for any outdoor-unit changes, and we'll point out anything that needs your management's approval before we start. PJ is one of the most lightning-prone places on Earth, so after a storm we always check the control board and capacitor before blaming the gas. We guarantee a response within 24 hours across SS2, Section 17, Kelana Jaya and Bandar Utama. The run from our KL base is short, so morning bookings are often seen the same day. My aircon stopped working after a thunderstorm. Can you fix it? Usually, yes. Petaling Jaya sits in one of the most lightning-prone areas in the world, and surges often take out a capacitor or control board. We test both before quoting a repair (labour RM80 to RM200 plus parts). Is an old non-inverter unit in SS2 or Section 17 worth repairing? A capacitor or fan motor fix usually is. A failed compressor on a 15-year-old non-inverter unit often is not. We show you the repair price next to a new-unit price before you decide. Do you service condos in Kelana Jaya and Ara Damansara? Yes. Give us your block and unit number when you book. We register with building management, bring wash bags so no water runs off the ledge, and cover your floors before we start. Is there a discount for several units in one Bandar Utama house? Yes. Several units at one address get the multi-unit discount, and most Bandar Utama and Damansara Utama homes book every unit in one visit. How much is an aircon service in Petaling Jaya? One flat price list covers the whole Klang Valley: RM120 per wall unit for a normal general service, from RM160 for a chemical wash, and RM80 to RM200 repair labour plus parts. Can you replace a dead unit with a new inverter model? Yes. Installation starts at RM280 for a 1.0 HP unit with up to 10 feet of piping, and we supply nine major brands including Daikin, Panasonic, Mitsubishi and Acson. ### Still have a question?
