Aircon Service in Penang

## Salt Air, Heritage Houses and High-Rises

Penang Island is one of our newer service regions. Salty sea air is hard on outdoor units: it corrodes copper pipes and flare joints, and that is often why island aircons lose gas. We check for corrosion leaks before any top-up, and we service everything from older heritage-zone houses to new high-rises, at the same flat rates we charge in the Klang Valley.

Diagnose Your Aircon Issue

## Losing Gas or Cooling in Penang?

The local problem we see most

### Corroded pipes and gas loss on the island's seafront

The unit loses its chill a few months after every gas top-up, and the outdoor unit's casing and pipes show rust.

**Why it happens here:** Seafront towers along Gurney Drive face salty sea air, and with humidity averaging 83% the copper pipes and flare joints corrode into pinhole leaks.

**How we fix it:** We pressure-test and trace the leak before any aircon gas top-up, then repair the joint so the refrigerant stays in.

### Blowing Warm Air

Usually a choked coil, low gas from a leak, or a failed capacitor. We test pressure and amp draw so you only pay for the real fix.

[/guide/why-is-my-aircon-not-cold/ →](/guide/why-is-my-aircon-not-cold/)

### Water Leaking Inside

Slimy "aircon jelly" blocks the drain pan and pipe until water runs down your wall. A flush or chemical wash clears it.

[/guide/aircon-leaking-water-inside/ →](/guide/aircon-leaking-water-inside/)

### Musty or Mouldy Smell

Mould grows on the damp coil and blower wheel. Air freshener hides it. A chemical wash removes it.

[/guide/why-does-my-aircon-smell-bad/ →](/guide/why-does-my-aircon-smell-bad/)

### High Electricity Bill

A dirty unit runs longer to reach the set temperature, and your TNB bill shows it. A proper clean restores efficiency.

Client Feedback

## What Our Customers Say

A real Google review from a Kuala Lumpur customer. We would rather show one honest review than invent ten.

> "I searched aircond service kuala lumpur and found Aircond Expert. Chose them because the pricing was clear upfront. The team arrived, checked gas pressure, cleaned the indoor unit, and explained what they were doing without talking down. Not the cheapest, but the work felt proper."

## Booking Aircon Service on Penang Island

Booking in Penang is simple. WhatsApp us at 012-682 7539 with your unit type, HP and area, and we'll confirm the price and time. We guarantee a response within 24 hours across the island, from the **George Town heritage zone** and **Gurney Drive** to **Bayan Lepas**.

Heritage-zone streets can be narrow, with limited parking, so we may ask about access when you book. High-rise jobs along Gurney Drive follow the usual condo registration process.

### Landmarks and routes we use

- Komtar
- Gurney Plaza
- Queensbay Mall
- Penang Bridge

Jobs across the island run along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway and Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.

## Salt Air, Corrosion and Gas Loss

The sea air is the big story on Penang Island.

- **Salt-air corrosion.** Outdoor units near the coast corrode faster. Copper pipes and flare joints develop pinhole leaks, and the unit slowly loses gas. We check pressure, look for corrosion leaks and recommend a

    repair

    [/aircon-repair/ →](/aircon-repair/)

     before topping up. Standalone

    top-ups

    [/aircon-gas-top-up/ →](/aircon-gas-top-up/)

     carry a 1-month warranty.
- **Older heritage-area properties.** Unusual layouts and older wiring mean careful work and honest advice on repair versus replacement.
- **New high-rises** along Gurney Drive and in Bayan Lepas. Standard condo rules, with catchment bags and ledge access planned in advance.

Humidity in George Town averages 83%, and September and October bring the most rain, so we check outdoor-unit corrosion on every visit.

Got Questions?

## Penang Aircon Service FAQs

Do you do gas top-ups in Penang?

Yes, but only after a pressure test and a check of the outdoor joints for salt-air corrosion. A top-up on its own comes with a 1-month warranty.

Why does my aircon keep losing gas near Gurney Drive?

Seafront air and humidity averaging 83% corrode copper pipes and flare joints, which opens small leaks. Topping up without fixing the leak only buys a few weeks or months.

Do you work on heritage shophouses in George Town?

Yes. The UNESCO-listed core has narrow streets and older wiring, so we confirm access and parking when you book and check the electrics before running a new unit.

Which parts of the island do you cover?

George Town, Gurney Drive, Tanjung Tokong, Air Itam and Bayan Lepas (postcode 11900).

Are your island prices the same as KL?

Yes. The island uses our standard price list: a normal service is RM120, a chemical wash starts at RM160 and repair labour runs RM80 to RM200.
