Older bungalows in Ampang Hilir and Taman Melawati often run units that have been topped up with gas more than once, which usually points to a leak rather than normal wear. We check pressure first and find the cause, so you do not keep paying for top-ups that do not last. Most requested here: AC Gas Top-Up [/aircon-gas-top-up/ →](/aircon-gas-top-up/) . You can see every price on our full price list [/pricing/ →](/pricing/) . ### Areas we cover - Ampang Jaya - Taman Melawati - Pandan Indah - Pandan Jaya - Ampang Hilir - Bukit Antarabangsa Postcodes we cover: 53100, 55100, 68000 Local authority: Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ) Diagnose Your Aircon Issue ## Aircon Losing Gas Again in Ampang? The local problem we see most ### Slow gas leaks on Ampang's hillside homes The bedroom unit needed gas last year and is blowing warm again, and the outdoor unit sits on a wall a technician can barely reach. **Why it happens here:** Bukit Antarabangsa is a hillside township, with landslides recorded in 1993, 1999 and 2008, so many homes put outdoor units on steep or high walls far from the indoor unit. Longer pipe runs mean more joints, and older joints are where gas escapes. **How we fix it:** We pressure-test before any aircon gas top-up, trace the leak and quote the repair, and confirm ladder access with management first. ### Blowing Warm Air Usually a choked coil, low gas from a leak, or a failed capacitor. We test pressure and amp draw so you only pay for the real fix. A flush or chemical wash clears it. A chemical wash removes it. Jobs near the **Ampang LRT** line and Pandan Indah are easy to reach. **Bukit Antarabangsa** takes a little more planning: the hill roads are narrow, and some condos there have limited contractor parking, so we confirm access when you book. We guarantee a response within 24 hours across the MPAJ area and work 24/7, including public holidays. If your aircon stops cooling on a Sunday night, you can still WhatsApp us. ### Landmarks and routes we use - Ampang Point - Melawati Mall - Zoo Negara - Ampang LRT station A short run from our KL base via Jalan Ampang, AKLEH and the MRR2, with the Ampang LRT line serving Pandan Indah. ![Outdoor aircon units on condo ledges and terrace house walls](/images/content/outdoor-aircon-units-mounted-on-malaysian-condo-le.webp) ## Older Units, Gas Loss and Honest Answers Many homes here have run the same units for a long time, and that shapes most of our jobs here. - **Older bungalows in Ampang Hilir and Taman Melawati.** If a unit has needed gas more than once, there's almost certainly a leak, often at a flare joint or a corroded copper pipe. We check the pressure with a manifold gauge, look for the leak and quote the repair [/aircon-repair/ →](/aircon-repair/) before topping up. - **Hillside condos in Bukit Antarabangsa.** Access and parking need planning, and outdoor units can be hard to reach. We bring the right gear and confirm everything with management first. - **Terraces in Pandan Indah and Ampang Jaya.** Standard servicing and chemical washes [/aircon-chemical-wash/ →](/aircon-chemical-wash/) , with the multi-unit discount for several units. A standalone gas top-up [/aircon-gas-top-up/ →](/aircon-gas-top-up/) carries a 1-month warranty, and a complimentary top-up comes with every complete overhaul [/aircon-overhaul/ →](/aircon-overhaul/) . On the Bukit Antarabangsa slopes, outdoor units often sit high above steep ground, so we confirm ladder and access arrangements before the visit. Why? A sealed system should not lose refrigerant, so repeat top-ups mean a leak, often at a flare joint or a corroded pipe. We find and fix it instead of selling another top-up. Do you check the pressure before topping up? Always. We gauge the system first and only add gas when it is genuinely low, using the right refrigerant (R32, R410A or R22). Standalone top-ups carry a 1-month warranty. Can you reach condos on Bukit Antarabangsa? Yes. The hillside roads are narrow and contractor parking is limited, so give us the condo name and unit and we will confirm access with management before we come. How much does a repair cost here? Labour is RM80 to RM200 depending on the fault, plus parts. You get the total after diagnosis and before any work starts. Do you still service old R22 units? Yes, where R22 gas is still available. Because it is being phased out, we may suggest planning a replacement for a unit that leaks repeatedly. Which postcodes do you cover around Pandan Indah and Melawati? We cover 68000 (Ampang), 55100 (Pandan Indah and Pandan Jaya) and 53100 (Taman Melawati), all within the MPAJ area, under the same 24-hour response guarantee. ### Still have a question?
